I wanted to take this opportunity to share my experiences and impressions of Blackford Dental Management and Pennsylvania Dental Partners with you.

First, a little history for perspective. After graduating from Howard University College of Dentistry in 1973 and serving two years in the United States Air Force, I opened my own practice in Hatboro, Pennsylvania. After enjoying (mostly) private practice for over thirty years and experiencing the economic downturn of 2008-2012, I was somewhat unsure about the direction I wanted my practice to take.

After much consideration, I was still confused and undecided. Then, in the fall of 2013, a friend and colleague of mine, Dr. Alan Gross, told me that he had sold his practice to Blackford/PDP. My first reaction was the typical “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn’t.” But my respect for Alan urged me to pursue the matter farther, and it turned out to be the best professional as well as business decision I’ve ever made.

Unlike the numerous “professional group practices ” which will remain nameless, PDP is in a completely different universe. From the management’s thoroughness, honesty, and integrity, to the fantastic personnel employed, this organization is top notch, with no expense spared to elevate our company head and shoulders above similar organizations.

I also want to give a tip of my hat to Dr. Tom Dudas who, in addition to being a die-hard Steelers fan, has been a fantastic clinical director and go to guy for any of my questions or concerns about our practice. He is an invaluable asset.

My team and I have been with PDP since December, 2013 and I can safely say that it has been a revelatory and exciting experience. The overall philosophy is one that I think we all can appreciate: quality, cutting edge treatment in an familiar atmosphere that our patients can relate to and embrace. The changes that have been made in my practice have elevated the level of care to heights that I know would have been impossible without PDP.

As we have moved forward and are adding quality practices to our group, I see an unchanging philosophy of superior dental practice as well as management that cares for each individual practitioner and dedicated to always improving patient care and being at the forefront of what I see as the future of dental practice in America.

Lastly, I want to congratulate our “senior” members as well as our recent partners for making this experience a rewarding one for us all now, and in the future
